As it stands, Meta (which was rebranded from Facebook last week) devices now account for 61.15 of the total VR headset usage on Steam. It is admittedly still very early in the game to declare which device is the “winner”, but for now it looks like the HTC Vive is in the lead. So far reviews of the HTC Vive have been pretty stellar and despite the expensive price, many gamers have been flocking to it. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t many VR enthusiasts already: Steam has more than 120 million users now, meaning that that seemingly measly 1.8 actually. Although the Quest Pro is in the middle of the pack in the overall SteamVR survey, a closer look at the numbers shows that the mixed reality headset is far behind. While there are VR headsets from Samsung, LG, and Google, just to name a few, in terms of dedicated VR headsets there are probably only two main ones in the market right now: the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive (with Sony’s PlayStation VR coming this October), and now it looks like the HTC Vive has taken the clear lead.
